Initially conceptualized as a paper of a law student, TXTm8 (TXTm8 Tayo Consumer Group, Inc.) has morphed itself into a consumer advocacy organization dedicated to bridging the gap between consumers and the telecommunications industry in the Philippines. It is now a non-stock, non-profit corporation registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and counts a majority of its members as students of the University of the Philippines.
As a consumer rights advocacy group, TXTm8 aims “to promote the interest and welfare of consumers and subscribers of telecommunications entities and other businesses” and “to conduct researches and studies and information dissemination through public forums and seminars on consumer rights and welfare.”

Good to know that there is an organization out there that helps protect the rights of the hapless pinoy consumer against the monopolistic telcos. How can I join and contribute?
More power to TXTm8!
